Plugin: Smilies Documentation


For Movable Type 3.3

  1. Download Smilies.zip and extract. A donation will support continued development of this plugin. Suggested amount: $5
  2. Upload Smilies.pl (in the plugins/ folder) to the plugins/ folder in your Movable Type installation.
  3. Upload the mt-static/ folder to your Movable Type installation’s static folder. The result should be mt-static/smilies/.

You should now see Smilies listed in the Plugins screen of your MT installation.

For Movable Type 3.2

Follow the instructions for MT 3.3, above.

Upload BigPAPI.pl (in the For MT3.2/ folder) to the plugins/ folder in your Movable Type installation.

You should now see Smilies listed in the Plugins screen of your MT installation.

Using Smilies is really simple: on the edit entry screen, just click the smiley face you want to use. The HTML will be inserted into your entry and—when saved or previewed—will display the smiley face!
