Installation

Wordometer requires Movable Type version 3.3 or higher.

1. Download Wordometer.zip and extract. A donation will support continued development of this plugin. Suggested amount: $5
2. Upload Wordometer.pl (in the distribution’s plugins/ folder) to the plugins/ folder in your Movable Type installation.

You should now see Wordometer listed in the System Overview Plugins screen of your MT installation. Wordometer doesn’t have any settings, so that’s the end of the installation!

Use

It’s really easy to use Wordometer because… well, there’s no work involved for you—Wordometer handles it all!

Visit the Edit Entry page. If you create a new entry, Wordometer will count the number of words or tags as you type them. If you edit an existing entry the words and tags in each field will be counted when the page is loaded, and will be incremented as you type.
